Run fast or Age will catch you...

So I am here in Kochi from last one week and when I was leaving from Mumbai on 16 Jul 18, my Captain called me and we spoke for one hour. At the end he told me one thing "Run fast or Age will catch you". That day, I took those lines in the sense that I need to run everyday or maintain physical health standards otherwise I will get old soon. So with that notion I had almost forgotten those lines.

Last evening I was discussing one similar topic with one of my friend regarding the plans after leaving Navy. Later when I was alone in my hotel room and I was doing some kind of introspection and reviewing the plans I have made for the future. Suddenly a new thing struck into my mind.

All my plans for learning, execution, start-up, family are not considering the basic fact that I am getting older everyday. The way I think presently, the creativity I have, the energy level I possess is not going to remain same throughout. Then slowly I realized that my learning capability has also reduced with time and it will follow the same path of declination and never going to change its course. And most important thing is family. As the family will grow, the responsibilities will also grow but time is limited. So, I have to do more work in less time with less energy in coming years to catch up with my timeline.

Considering all above factors when I updated my timeline, it was falling one year behind which I was assuming to be two years ahead. The glass of beliefs scattered and I was not able to sleep last night. Today morning I again reviewed the plans and modified them as realized yesterday evening. So, with same plans and new timeline and strategy, I am back. Luckily,
Right advice at right time.

One More Dream Lived

What a Day it was !!!
A fine morning , 15 Aug 15  Independance Day . I was in college yes my own , NIT Hamirpur. So let me tell u some history first How I ended up in College that day .

"I got 20 days of leave from 10 Aug and decided to attend the 15 August parade in college. I sent msg to NCC juniors in college that I am coming on 14 Aug. They requested me to bring my Uniform. I reached college on 14th Afternoon and had a session with the NCC juniors and from there we decided that I will be coming in Uniform next day."

So here I was , at 0900h , standing in front of  NCC platoon and college Administrative Block. Chief Guest { Director } was to arrive at 0930H , so I was giving some final tips to the Cadets. And then I was spotted by One of my Teachers "Surender Soni Sir". He was so amazed to see me that he took me to all faculty members and introduced me and finally introduced me to The Dean. I talked to Dean for 5 minutes and then he said the words "You will be The Guest of Honour Today". I was surprised and about to say NO  but he look determined. And at the same time Director Arrived. Dean introduced me to Director and here I was sitting in the Front row with Director , ahead of all HODs and other faculty members and having a conversation with Director on College issues.

The first line from Director  " I wasn't aware that you are on leave , otherwise I could have sent you a formal invitation."

" Its alright sir , Its my own college , I don't need any Invitation from here " ;) I don't know why I said that but it was situational and I was quite nervous :D

Then it was time for Director's speech. His first line was "I am very Happy to announce that one of your senior , and student of this College is here with us on Independance day , Mr. Ashish Chauhan , who is now a Naval Officer"

I was continuosly smiling at NCC cadets and they were also smiling. After his speech , he asked me to come on the Dice with him and give Salute to three Platoons , Security Guards, NCC and NSS.
After this we had Photography session , and if I am not wrong , atleast I had 100+ photos with individuals. Then we first had party and interaction session at Verka and  then after changing into civil clothes at DT.

What actually Happened that Day : When I was NCC head during my college days and used to salute the Dice , my dream was to stand on the same Dice someday and give salute to the Platoons and here was the day , one more dream lived.

Next day , when I was narrating this whole experience to one of my close friends , he said "There are very few people in this world , who have lived there dreams in reality , U are one of them."

FAILING : The Honest

Those days are gone when honesty used to be the best policy. In India, it's fatal to be honest now.  As a child we were told that honesty & good always triumphs. Now when we are grown up we realised that the jungle has different rules. Here ,Goons are doing Moral policing, Rapes are Increasing, Honest people getting murderd & Govt. is busy protecting Cows only. And after every incidence we can offer only Candle light marches, Petitions and Award-winning movies.
Heard the News of IAS officer DK Ravi last day and saw some of his Pics , I have seen
Cricketers, Netas or Cinema guys being lifted like this. But not an IAS officer. There must be something special about  DK Ravi
He was 2009 Batch IAS , transferred 28 times , collected 138 cr tax dues in just 4 months , raided Home Minister KJ George's real estate co.

What a loss, braveheart was only 35, these corrupt politicians never die young they can only kill young n bright!
Seriously , we are the only nation where some Priceless,Extremely Intelligent people crack toughest exams to take order from a dumber. Feeling bad for the UPSC aspirants. They work so hard to clear it and then work under corrupt illiterate politicians.

The tears of the families of the honest officers is the reality of our country. They will be forgotten as usual. DK Ravi's suicide or murder proves "honesty is the saddest policy"

Ghar Wapsi For AAP - DILLI CHALO

I don't know from where to start this article about the successful journey of Aam Aadmi Party . This will take a lot of time to start from the beginning ,  but let me from the time when Kejriwal lost elections against Modi :

"After Lok Sabha Elections , there was a time when Arvind Kejriwal used to visit people in Delhi and they used to close the doors for him .Even apartment guards used to taunt him with his Varanasi loss.
We have seen worst possible days for kejriwal as you can see the picture below.

Any common man could have broken by such period . But , kejriwal stood up , faced all hardships , lifted the party with support of selfless leaders and volunteers and today's achievement is the result of all the hard work he and others have been doing from last 8 months"
There were some lines from Mahatma Gandhi which r coming in my mind right now :

First they ignore you,
then they ridicule you,
then they fight you,
and then you win.

From morning I m trying to believe that Arvind Kejriwal  hypnotized voters to win.. I mean 67 seats is not a joke. And specially when the margins on many seats between AAP and BJP is not even in few thousands..but 25-40 thousands..Crazy!

And most funny thing which I have seen today is that Congress jokers r mocking Modi & BJP. It's like a school drop out mocking MIT PhD whose 1 experiment failed. LOL!

Jokes apart , but seriously  Aam Aadmi Party's "H"s
-Humility
-Honesty
-Hardwork
-Heartfelt dedication
-Hours of commitment
-Honour & Pride in serving India
worked out but still the biggest challenge for AAP is to fight against DIRTY TRICK DEPARTMENTS of BJP/INC. Lets see in future How Kejriwal is going to work for that.

How Indian Defense Pilots get Trained ??? ( PART 1 )

Many people confuse with the training given to Civil Airline Pilots and the Defense Pilots . But let me clear it in 2nd line of my article that never try to compare these two . There is not a single thing common in both except that they fly planes. So , let me start with the civil pilots who get trained by the Private establishments like IGRUA in UP. They first give 200 hours of flying experience on Simulator and then start with actual flying .
Talking about Defense Pilots , let me give u basic idea that all four forces r having there separate Pilots , Air Force , Indian Navy, Indian Army and Coast guards. But because of the reason that number of pilot in Army Coast guard and Navy r less compared to Indian Air Force ,  all Pilots get trained for Basic Flying in Air Force establishments and Further training is done in specific establishments of Navy and Air force.
For training , HAL-built HPT-32 Deepak primary trainers were used earlier. But they were grounded in 2009 following a spate of crashes and over 100 incidents of engine failures. Pilatus PC-7 Mk 2 have replaced HAL-built HPT-32 Deepak. India is already taking delivery of PC-7 Mk 2 aircraft from Pilatus under a contract for 75 such aircraft signed in 2012.

But , there is a need for 181 Basic Trainer Aircraft   for the Stage I flying training for the Indian Air Force . So, IAF has decided to “urgently” buy 106 PC-7 Mk 2 Basic Trainer Aircraft (BTA) from Pilatus, pulling the plug yet again on state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), which is also making an aircraft for training junior pilots.

The BTAs (Basic Trainer Aircrafts) will be acquired from the Swiss company under the “Buy & Make (Indian)” category, in accordance with India’s defense procurement policy. A Request for Information (RFI) calls for delivery of aircraft and equipment to begin by 2015-16, with all 106 PC-7 Mk2’s to be delivered by 2020-21.

Under the “Buy & Make (Indian)” category, Pilatus will have to form a joint venture or establish a production arrangement with an Indian company to execute the contract. So , The Indian government desires a local vendor or company to form a joint venture or establish a production arrangement with Pilatus to “supply a certain number of PC-7 Mk. 2 aircraft in flyaway condition as the ‘buy’ portion, followed by licensed production/indigenous manufacture in India under the ‘make’ portion,”

Since the aircraft is to be license-produced in India, it must have a minimum of 50% indigenous content on a cost basis (for a specified list of items). A minimum of 30% indigenous Indian content for applicable items also is required. However, no minimum indigenous content is needed for the “buy” portion of the contract.

The decision to buy BTA from Pilatus could severely affect HAL’s plans for its Hindustan Turbo Trainer 40 (HTT-40). The IAF and HAL have been debating the future of the turbo trainer for over two years now, but a decision on any forward movement for the project came to the fore when former IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal N.A.K. Browne wrote to Defense Minister A.K. Antony urging a foreclosure of the HTT-40 program to enable the import of 106 more PC-7 Mk. 2 trainers.

The ministry of defense had cleared an IAF request in 2009 to buy 181 BTAs, 75 of which would be procured from an international vendor with the remaining to be designed and developed by HAL. India signed a deal in May 2012 worth about $650 million for 75 Pilatus aircraft. So far, the Swiss company has delivered about 20 aircraft and the IAF, which has suffered from a severe shortage of modern trainers, has commenced training with the PC-7 Mk 2.

To be continued in next articles ....

THE FIRST FLIGHT

What a day it was. After a wait of 1 and half year after my selection to Naval aviation , the day finally came , 23rd Jan 2015 it was. So , I got my helmet , gloves , thighpad and some more stuff that we have to carry before any flight. Me and my instructor moved towards Aircraft . He was briefing me about the stuff we were going to perform during flight like Take off , aerobatics , sector establishment etc. I could barely listen to what he was saying , I was more excited about the first flight. I opened the canopy , did some external checks and We entered the aircraft. After full system check of half an hour , I finally released the brakes and we started moving towards the Runway. At runway , I took permission to take-off and here I was airborne in next 10 seconds. We entered the alloted sector and were flying at 14000 feet. Sir was showing me the area around Hydrabad city , Narsapur , Jogipet , Nizam Sagar  , Octopus lake and many more ground feature that we use for checking our orientation during any manouvre .

There was a time when Instructor inverted the plane and I was looking over head to see the Outer Ring Road Hydrabad and Trucks , buses , cars were passing from there. In last 10-15 min. , sir showed me some aerobatics like Roll , Loop , Spin , Stall , Barrel roll , Roll over the top . I could see on the front screen , we acheived +4g in manouvres. After 1 hour of flight we landed and taxied out in Dispersal. We came out of the Aircraft like the way I have seen in photographs and movies "IN FLYING CLOTHES ,HELMET ON LEFT SIDE , MOVING WITH FULL CONFIDENCE WITH AVITORS ON "  What a memorable day it was. Whatever time u spent in air during your whole career but the first time is always special.

My training is going on these days and I already completed First phase of flying. Everyday we fly for 1 hour but a lot of preparation is needed before each flight because our own life is on stake. But seriously best Profession in world.

"Once You Have Tasted Flight ,You Will Forever Walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards , for there you have been and there you always long to return "

The Day when flying became Scary

Its not like , I have never been on a flight before but this was the incidence which happened after I done my Pre Flying Training and was going from Kochi to Delhi by Air India AI- 047 . As I boarded the plane , I started realizing that the stuff I studied about planes like Lift , Drag , aerofoils , aeroengines in last 5 weeks was
going to be real soon. I could see the different colored lights on the runway .
It was funny telling the guy sitting beside me that , Blue lights are traffic lights , White r runway lights , red r end of runway lights and green r threshold lights.
Beside this I was able to judge the movements of Pilot , wht he was doing and wht next  he gonna do :) .It was like sitting next to ur friend in car and knowing all his actions.
It was scary when plane was going to take-off . I knew how actually plane flies and what r the various  requirements for flying. My mind suddenly goes toward the problems that can occur like stalling and engine failures . Being a person of Defence forces , I should not say this : "but I was little scared" ;). After a few moments when plane reached a good height , everything was normal ;)
It was a great experience and I m feeling lucky that I m gonna be a part of defence aviation soon and going to "FLY HIGH".

Half Marathon , 21 km in 1 hr 52 min.

What a day it was !!! A lot to share , starting from last night ,The Navy Ball , we were wearing Number 6 uniform , drinking and listening to Veer Das comedy . After Veer Das , some dance performance was there and then comes KK , the legend . He started with  'Yaaron Dosti Bdi hi haseen hai ' and with few more songs , whole environment changed . Officers started dancing with their families and soon the singles like us joined them. A lot of dancing , first on KK songs and then some more singers and then on DJ . After dinner , we moved to our rooms and it was already 0130hrs.

Next morning we were having Marathon , so we decided to wake up at 4 bt when I woke up ,my watch was showing 5. I rushed to Abhimanyu's cabin. They seemed less interested in going , so I decided to go myself. I took bus and reached the starting point. Soon the Marathon started.

First 10 Km. : In starting , I could feel the hangover so have no idea , how first 3 km gone . After 3 , my counterparts started showing less enthusiasm and they were kind of less interested in race now. Soon only one of my friend left with me . We crossed bridge , Kahawa , Naval Base , SFNA  and were almost at 10 km milestone when the last counterpart left me alone.

10 - 20 km : Soon I reached the 11 km point from where I had to return back . I was running like hell , no breathing problem , only sweat was coming. As I reached Naval base again , I decided to call Abhimanyu and we talked for some time . After crossing bridge , I called to my brother , and we talked for 2 km . People standing on sides of road were amazed to see that a guy is talking on phone and running at 18 Km milestone while others have already started walking. As I reached 20 km , I cut the call.

Last 1000 meters : Now it was last 1 km , and i was still having lot of energy , so I decided to sprint. I am sure that I crossed at least 50 people in last km.

As I entered the ground , it was all crowded . I reached the final point , took my medal and stretched for some time . I was not able to feel my legs after few minutes. After all , I stepped outside the ground , had 3 juices and then took auto to naval base. It was a great day and had lot of fun . Seriously , I had never expected to complete 21 km with such good timing of 1 hr 52 min with hangover , sleepless night and dance for 3 hrs last night .

The long day

The day started with hangover , 2 beers I had last night in Officers Institute were enough to take me out of senses . My watch was showing 9:30 am . Soon I realized that I have to pee , I rushed towards washroom . When I looked into the mirror , eyes were red showing three  consecutive restless nights that I had . I picked up my phone and saw 2 missed calls from Reetu . I called back , they were leaving from Munnar and were expected to arrive allepy at 2 PM.
I got ready , took aviators from Shreyas , and then reached main gate in next 15 minutes. From there reached railway station and bought ticket. After  reaching allepy at 2 PM , I entered some Restaurant and was doing some surfing on internet . Suddenly I heard some voice asking "Can I join u ???" . She was some foreigner and was carrying big bag. I helped her putting that down and offered water. We talked for 45 minutes . She was from UK , coming from Sri Lanka and going to Pakistan . After she left , I decided to walk around. It was a gud place , back waters and boats.
My friends reached at 3.30 ,when  I met them , they were planning for some House boat . After doing all formalities , we entered the Powerboat . We had gud time there , bt I had to leave at 7 . After leaving , I again was standing on the railway station .
A cute girl was sitting there , and was doing something  on mobile. As train reached , she entered 2nd ac , I followed her.  In next 10 minutes I was sitting in front of her talking , and sharing basic information. She was from Banglore , and did B Tech in Bio Technology . Now she is doing job in Congizant . We talked for some time and then my station arrived. After leaving station , I took auto to Kahawa - coffee centre.
At kahawa , I opened FB and tried to find that girl . Soon I realized there were two eyes looking at me constantly. There was a girl sitting in front table looking at me. I waited for 5 min. And then slowly walked towards her table . I asked to join her and started talking . This girl was from Assam , did some course for one year and was Receptionist at Trident hotel. After some time , my friends (bros) arrived Kahawa and her friend also came . I left her table and joined my bros on other table. An hour later , I saw her leaving from Kahawa. We continued masti till 12:30  and asked for bill. Receptionist amazed  me telling that girl already paid my bill. WTF. I gave money to receptionist and told him that whenever u see that girl in future , give this money to her.
So finally day ended with lot of memories.

Why Future Predictions ???

one day one of my friend Neha was asking  "Why u always calculate everything about future, don't u think life should be like a surprise gift?"
I was not having any answer at that moment but after thinking I came to a conclusion that when u want ur life to be perfect u should calculate everything before going for some particular decision , may be I am contradicting some of the lines of Bhagwat Gita here which said "Never worry about the future and live in the present moment"
I am totally agree with the above line that one should always live in present but I am just saying that be calculative as wise person and never feel pressurized because of future predictions. For example , What my aim from childhood was that I never wanted to look back into my past life saying "If I had done this , the results could be better , I don't want my life to be a regret at the end" . So everytime when I m going to take a decision ,I always look for the future happenings so that I won't regret at any moment of life . This is the only reason why I love my past life so much .May be many of the people not agreed to me on this but this is what I do :)

Confusion All Around

There was  always an environment around me when I was looking forward for something , was desiring something but the days I am spending right now are working differently , the whole things getting confused . I was talking to some of my friends about this but was not able to conclude what I want now .
For a person who was always busy doing something whole the time , suddenly , have done something and he is free for couple of months and being tension free. Life without tension is also such a boring thing specially when the people around you are always working for some goal and you have nothing to do , just to spend the time roaming here and there . Everyone is discussing about the future expects and specially what they are going to do after college , and in that discussion you are feeling  departed . Everyone want this kind of free time but when they get this , they have no idea where to utilize this.  Same thing is happening here . Was this all I was desiring ????
I am still asking that one simple question from myself :
"HAVE I MADE IT LARGE OR STILL SOMETHING THERE TO ACHIEVE "

SSB : Experience of a Life time

Dated : 19 June 2013

I reached  at 12pm on Railway Station of Banglore from where we had to go to the SSB centre by a Bus . There were 7 more friends from NITH in our batch. At 2.45 the bus reached there and we were dropped at centre by 3.30. There were 180-200 guys and we started filling the PIQ forms as well as the allowances form. After completing , we were given Chest Numbers , mine was 33 and we were sent to the Rooms. Rooms were really great and were 8 candidates per room. so that was the starting day

DAY 1 : We woke up at 5 and collected outside the mess by 6 am . Then we were taken to Testing room for our first test named Screening Test . Firstly , we had two tests named Verbal and Non verbal Reasoning . They were quite simple and was able to attempt all as there was no negative marking . Then we were shown an Image which was not clearly visible and we had to write a story on that as well as characters position , age and mood. We were given 3 minutes for that. After story writing we were sent and were called for Group Discussion after an hour. In GD,  we were asked to Narrate our stories one by one and after that we had to conclude a single story . Discussion was not that good as all were trying to prove their points at the same time .After that we had our Lunch and the result was announced after an hour. 86 were screened in. We were given new chest numbers and the others were sent back to the Railway Station. Now , my chest number was 74.
DAY 2 : Next day again , we woke up at 5 and collected outside mess by 6am , then we were taken to the same  Test Room for Psych test .It includes TAT , WAT , SRT , SD .

TAT (Thematic Appreciation Test) : We were shown 12 slides and we had to write stories on them in 3 minutes each , last slide was blank so we could write any story of our choice.

WAT (Word Association Test) : In this test we were shown 60 words one by one and we had to write a line  that comes first in our mind in 10 seconds. It was quite simple and I attempted all of them.

SRT (Situation Reaction Test) : In this , there were 60 situations in the booklet and we had to write our reaction for each. This was the tough one just because only 20 minutes were given for 60 situations but still was able to complete 57-58 .

SD (Self Description) : Here we had to write the answers of some questions related to us like : What your Parents think about you ? What your Friends think about you ? What your Teachers think about you ? What you think about yourself  ? What are you weaknesses and how you are improving them? . I was prepared for these so there was no problem answering these questions.

DAY 3 : This day , we were having  GTO tasks , we collected outside mess at 6am and then we were divided into groups of 8 each. We had Two group Discussions,  one on the topic IMPORTING WEAPONS FROM RUSSIA  and second was WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT BIOTECHNOLOGY OR IT SECTOR ?. After 5 minutes discussion on both we were shown a Chart on which some pictures were made ,on the basis of that picture one situation/problem was given and we had to write a solution for that . After writing , then we had to come on a single solution. After these tasks we were sent to the main ground , where  firstly we were given some group tasks and then we had a Snake race. After Snake race we had Lecturrate where we had to speak on a topic for 3 minutes .My topic was "SUCCESS OF IPL" and I concluded topic  before time. Then we were sent for Individual tasks where I completed 8-9 obstacles out of 10, a Command task and Final Group task , and it went very well.

DAY 4 :  This was the Day of Personal Interview and seriously , the most deciding factor in SSB Recommendation . I was the last to be Interviewed. My Interview completed in One and Half hour . It was the best part of whole SSB . He asked me Personal questions , technical questions , GK questions and questions related to NCC and my Hobbies . I was able to answer almost all the questions.

DAY 5 : The day of Judgement arrived , we were given new chest numbers and in a formal dress we entered conference room one by one . It took only 1-2 minutes for one candidate and all completed in 4-5 hours . After lunch , the result was announced . As my chest number was announced , what I can say " One of the best moments in whole Life ". So ,there  I was standing with a New chest number +10 , with all other recommended candidates.

Next Day we left to Mysore for PABT (Pilot Aptitude Battery Test) , after qualifying that we returned to Bangalore for Medicals . Seriously speaking , medical for Pilot entry is tough one and many of us were not able to qualify that. It took 4-5 days to complete whole medical process. After medicals I returned back but with a lot of memories and new friends , Now I am waiting for Call letter  :)

Personal Interview at SSB Banglore - My Experience

It was the third day at SSB Banglore , we were completed with our Psych Test as well as the GTO tasks , now it was our  PI (personal interview) that left for the last day before Conference . As according to many experts , Interview is the most deciding part in someone's recommendation so all were very nervous . I was the last to be Interviewed among 86 who qualified first round . At 6 PM on the last day my name was announced and I was there standing outside President's room for my turn . So I entered the room with a file of all my documents in my hand .I was little bit nervous as there were lot of scary stories I was told from my childhood about SSB interview .
As I entered the room President said " Ashish Chauhan , have a seat ". After placing  my documents file on President's table I sat on the chair in front of the Interviewer.

"So Ashish , tell me from where you are ? " here the first question came
"Sir , I am from Hamirpur , Himachal Pradesh"
"Ok , tell me two kinds of people who should not come to Hamirpur "
After a pause of 2-3 seconds I said
"Sir , the persons who expect Malls , Big building , high Internet facilities , those should not come to Hamirpur and guys who are not a good Judge of Beauty should not come there" He started smiling.

"Now tell me about your Education , where you studied , your percentage , where you are studying now , what your parents think about you , what your teachers and friends think about you , what you think about yourself , your strengths and weakness and finally how you are improving your weaknesses ?"

At this moment , had to remember the sequence of questions and their order. I answered all the questions very well .
Then he asked me "Why do you want to join Indian Navy as you are from NIT , and you will get a good job from there "
I was well prepared for this question as this was asked from all the candidates.

Then he asked questions about NCC like "From which wing you are ? How many camps you have attended ? Which rifle you had used ? What is the range of that Rifle ? Tell me the names of target ? 3 techniques of swimming ? Number of sails in D K whaler ? How a ship works ? How to communicate in Sea ? Name all the Morse codes ? etc"
As I am NCC  'C' certificate holder , so was knowing all the answers.

Then he moved towards General Knowledge questions "Tell names of 3 countries in Africa , North America  South America and Australia . Where is Black , Yellow , Red and Dead sea and why they are named like that ? From where moon rises? Why moon rotate around earth ? Tell me the formula of Gravitational force?
Why Sun Stands still ? "

After that he moved on to PIQ (Personal Inquiry Questionnaire) and asked me about my Hobbies and questions related to them like : Tell me Difference between SLR camera and Digital Camera ? What is Exposure time and Shutter Speed ? First movie of India ? How that was captured ? How pinhole camera work ? What is the height of Badminton net ? Dimensions of badminton court ? and some questions about designing

So , the interview lasted for one and half hour and he was quite happy , reason may be my interview went well or I was the last candidate to be Interviewed :)
It was very nice experience and One advice to future aspirants "Never Get Nervous During Interview because Interviewer always try to Check the Patience"

Aise hi Kuch Bhi :)

""When I honestly ask myself which person in my life mean the most to me, I often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share my pain and touch my wounds with a warm and tender hand "" .Seriously , if  u think these lines are not written by me then  Yes ! you are right , I have taken them from somewhere (as many said You are Jugadoo person) . But I still feel that  you  are the folks with whom I can share everything (seriously  everything , Nooo.... but most of the things :) , yes). I had always dreamt to have a group of friends as I have seen in Movies and Serials but never had a single thought to have one but you know "Everything Happens for a Reason" so still I dunno have a group of friends (yaraa ,aap to serious hi le gaye :D ) , we are not group we are "Aaramjade" :D , till the date I can't imagine that I have given this name to our group (sry Tidu , I have taken the whole credit , you know self obsessed :)). The most common words used by our group are "Chalo ! Plan banate hain" (am I right ??? :)).  Don't know what is going to happen in future as POM teacher said "Future is Uncertain" but still I am not going to make you forget me (Tum sab ki shaadi ke baad bhi , shayad :D).  Still we have 1 year to enjoy but 1 year is not enough I think .    BTW my desires are not to make you emotional after this post , (vaise itni senti post to hai ni , but Neha se mujhe puri umeed hai :)).

An Old Friend

It was an exciting day or u can say exciting evening ,I was doing something on FB , something was Chatting obviously , as it was weekend so I was totally free . I saw some boy has commented on a post and his name was something known . After few moments ,I remembered that the boy has a sister who was my classmate from 1st class to 10th but rarely talked to her during those days . So I tried to find out her name in his friend list and it was on the first page its self. I send her friend request as well as a message "Hey , remember me , good to see u :)" , then I waited for couple of minutes but no notification yet , I waited for some more time then comes the notification that she has accepted your friend request and now u can write on her wall but thats not appropriate to write on someone's wall as I was caught sometime while I was writing on the wall of classroom and don't want to remember what happened after then :)
Suddenly I got a msg on chat box saying "Ya long time , wass up ? wow , u r in NIT now !!!" so with that a new conversation started and continued for next three hours .On her cover photo it was written "Don't Grow Up , its a Trap " ha ha ha . During chat , I keep on checking her photos that how she has been changed in last 4 years and the change was shocking that from a simple "Champu" girl , she has become a fashionable girl in her hairstyle as well as dressing sense. As she was studying in Chandigarh , so change was obvious .
We talked about how we were in school time and how things has been changed now , how we hate engineering a lot and had never thought the life could be this much complicated . We were very shy during school time and never had any conversation more than 10 minutes in those 10 years but today there was no shyness . We talked about the day when we were chosen Mr. and Miss Farewell at the last day of school and our photo was there on the local newspaper . I use to  talk to many friends everyday but she was special one , don't know why but Ifeel so close to her during every line of our conversation . A nostalgic feeling has surrounded me during our chat , we would talk in future also with that lines I said gud night to her at 1:30 at night as she was having class next morning.

Who was that Girl ???

After giving  Mid-term exam of LIC (Linear Integrated Circuit) on 28th september  i return back to my room  . The exam paper was tough so was not happy . I was sitting quitely on bed and  decided to watch some episodes of HIMYM (How I Met Your Mother) serial.
I took my Laptop and click Power button but same moment I feel some vibrations in my Laptop bag . I checked that my mobile was in silent mode and some call was coming , it was some unknown number (973618**** ) , I press button to attend call

ME : Hello
STRANGER : Hello
(Voice of some girl)
ME : Who is this ?
STRANGER : (in soft voice) Who are you ?
ME : I am Ashish Chauhan
STRANGER : From NIT Hamirpur?
ME : Yes , and U ??
STRANGER : I had seen you when you  visited our village CHAUKI
ME : ok , so ??
STRANGER : I Love You
(for that time i just forgot about the bad exam ????)
ME :Whats Your Name ???
but she cut the call and that Girl remains a Mystery for that time
I called 2-3 times but she didn't picked up only i could listen the hellotune (some Punjabi song)

When I recall my visit to chauki :
(we were going  for a Satsang of Art Of Living to Chauki, a village 5 km from NIT campus  . We set up all the sound system and take our positions . All the villagers reached their in half an hour and we start our satsang . There were three cute girls in crowd , two were of my age 17-18 and one was of 6-7 years old . As we finished after 1 hour we start closing all the sound system . Then , the small girl came to me and asked for some tuitions in Literacy Mission .As  I agreed  for tuitions , she asked for my Phone Number and I give her on a paper . She took the paper and disappeared . As we were about to leave I could see the little girl passing paper to the other girl from distant . I was confused and we left )

So she was that girl ...............................waiting for her call ...............

Meet A Stranger (Terrorist or Lover) ???

It is an incident when I was here in college during Summer Vacations.
I was sitting in 4-H Food Court , having sprite and Onion Parantha . At that instant , I saw a person coming there , wearing a hat (Shahrukh Khan type) healthy , age around 30 years . He ordered two samosas and with  his plate in hands , he was looking for a sheet . At that instant he saw me , and start coming towards my table . I was thinking that guy is looking for Sauce , but he sat in front of my chair and conversation Started :
(I really don't remember his name so for this stuff I am using ABC in his place)

ABC : Hi , I m ABC
ME   : hello , I m ashish
ABC : Your smile is great and u r cute

(Hello !!! , I m not getting u , I m not that kind of guy u r thinking)
ME   : Ok , thanku  (used to it !!!)
ABC : You must have a Girlfriend
ME   : No , not right now but looking for someone (last three words are just for the sake to realize him that I m not g##)
ABC : (He give me a mysterious smile ) U r on M Tech
ME   : No , I m in B tech 3rd year ECE branch and U???
ABC : I am just visiting Material science labs here to get something
ME   : U r looking for some job or what ?
ABC : I was a teacher and had experience of 8 years in Chandigarh college
ME   : So , what r u doing here ?
ABC : They fired me from college and Police is looking for me
ME   : Police is looking for u??
(Who r u , a terrorist ??)
ABC : Police often come to my college and ask from my collegues about my present address ...
ME   : What u had done and what are u doing here ??
ABC : Leave it , tell me what type of girl u want as your girlfriend ?
(After a scary 5 min. story u r saying LEAVE IT!!! at peak stage , why ??)
ME   : A smart girl , who can understand me and it doesn't matter whether she is beautiful or not ...
(He started laughing......)
ABC : Let me give u some advice ,  I was also like u 10 years ago , was in love with a girl , but she was quite smart and I love that part of her .
(Now there must be coming a Great love story)
ME   : So , what happened ?
ABC : Her parents arrange her marriage somewhere else and I lost her.
(How can u say this a story this is so obvious these days , hadd ho gayi ....)
ME   : what  , after that ???
ABC : I was totally out of my mind and I had done such mistakes that I shouldn't do ....
(Now , here comes the climax of story....)
ME   : What u had done ?
ABC : Leave it , just remember , "Fix Your Priorities in ur life before doing anything"
(WTF , atleast u complete ur story ...)
Then he stood up and left the table. I never talked to such guy . For next 5 minutes I keep trying to make some link between his stories but failed .
Still in confusion "HE WAS A TERRORIST OR LOVER ??"

Friends For Life

Let me express the emotions we have during these two precious years of our lives. Our campus : our last home before we are sent out into the big world , provides us with fond memories that keep us going during the trying  times lateron.
So whether you're chatting with your mates our a cup of coffee , taking a walk through the long winding campus roads , or just enjoying the morning sunshine on your shoulders , remember you're capturing moments that you'll look back and smile.

Here I am going to share my life at this place and specially the moments with my close friends. We have a  group , where plans are made , get modified over time , but something always works out in the end. Saying in Engineering language , Friends are the fuel that keeps our engines running. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank a few ,
Dhananjay , Karan , Rishabh , Vidisha , Megha , Shivani , Neha  and  Reetu.

PETSAL FRY

The Best Moment of Maclo Trip was "Petsal Fry". It was 1 p.m . After enjoying waterfall we all head towards main market and decided to have lunch. Now , the main
question was "What Should we eat?"

"Let's try something new" someone said
"There is a tibetan Hotel there." Rishabh replied

We all Entered there , it was on 2nd floor. There were Tibetan people sitting all around. There were sofas and chairs and also joint cybercafe. After few moments , we got menu by hot tibetan girl. It was not menu for us but a book of three pages which is laminated and designed properly and having words whose meaning were out of our  minds.  So , it becomes difficult to place order.

After a discussion of 5 minutes , we decided to place random orders from menu. I took a tissue paper , pen and start writing orders.Karan was sitting besides me. I asked him for his order.

"I think 'Petsal Fry' would be great , its of Rs. 120" Karan said
"I hope " I said and give paper to the hot Tibetan girl with a smile

After 15-20 minutes , we start getting our orders. Some got something like SAMOSA , some got Chicken and some got PANEER. All the orders were on the table except Karan's order.

"Karan , TERA ORDER NI AAYA ?"
"It Must be Special , AARAM SE AAYEGA" Karan replied

After a wait of 5 minutes something was on the table and it was the most awaited "Petsal Fry"
It contains some liquid and boiled vegetables.

None can stop laugh for next Five Minutes and that's the story of Petsal Fry.

Trip To Maclo

After exams of 3rd semester , all our batchmates were going to home but we were thinking different , as usual sitting on verka and making new plans was our (me , Karan , Dhananjay , shivani , vidisha , megha , rishabh) daily routine . At that time I was new in the group so was sitting quitely , sorry , it was not Verka but Juice Bar that day . So , we were sitting there and discussing the exam preparation .One thing about our group , girls were having pointer near to 8 and still they were too tensed about the exams including one guy (Rishabh).

"Lets go on some trip after exams " one said (Can't remember the name , its about eight months now)
"Let's go to maclo , its nice place, whats its distance from here "  other said
"Its about 150-160 km from my home , my home is 35 km from here , means it is around 120 km from here      , if we go on 40 km/hour then we will reach in 3 hours  " I said (I remember this part)
"ok , done , we are going to maclo after exam and Rishabh will arrange the taxi"
''ok , maggi aa gayi "

After exams we went to maclo and had great fun there
